You should also check out the Old Phuket Town, known for the Portuguese streets with beautiful mansions and shops. There are local markets that are also nearby, and you can tour everything using the bus transit system, a great way to introduce yourself to this once dominant location. Prompthep Cape Viewpoint is another popular spot, although not as magnificent as Karon Viewpoint which gives you a view of three of the most beautiful bays. Additionally, there is the Big Buddha, a total of 45 meters in height, made of white marble. If you want to check out the very tall rocks that can be seen along the coastline, Koh Panyee is a must see destination. Located in the middle of Phang Nga Bay, you can get rides on longtail boats, preferably early in the morning, so that you can experience it before all of the other tourists arrived in the area.
Best Destination To Go Near Phuket Town
Rang Hill is a place located just above Phuket town, and is an incredible place to eat and enjoy the view. There is actually a restaurant called Phuket view restaurant, just on the other side of the hill, and is an absolutely magical destination. You can actually get there by both car and bike, and it is recommended that you at least stay for lunch or dinner. Afterwards, you can head down to the beach to experience the Simon Cabaret, a show that will remind you of Las Vegas, with magical sets and beautiful women in full costumes that you will always remember.
These are just a few of the attractions that you will definitely appreciate once you get to Phuket. At the very least, you will enjoy walks through the tropical rain forests, experience monkeys that are in the trees, and really appreciate the beautiful beaches that this area has. Even if you are not a fan of old style buildings which are located in Phuket Town, everything else is like something out of a movie, surreal to a large degree, yet is most certainly absolutely real and a destination that you can enjoy.
